Online Image Generators

This was fun. I did the monopoly card and tried e-mailing it to myself. I checked my e-mail a few minutes later but it wasn't there yet. I will check again later. I looked at a couple of the other sites and they looked fun also. My mom does scrapbooking so I will show her that site. I think these sites could be a lot fun for patrons who want to try new things.

Overdrive

I really like Overdrive. I had tried it once before when SnoIsle first got it. I was able to burn a book to cd for my husband who has a long drive to work. When I tried to burn another book to cd, it didn't work. I couldn't figure out why so I didn't use it again for a while.

I like that there are movies available. I think this is a great resource for people to access who are home bound. I thought the selection was pretty good. I checked a couple of my favorite authors, one of them had quite a good selection, the other was ok. I think Overdrive is a very good service and I hope to let more of our patrons know about it.

It was very interesting when I imported all my favorites. I have been going through them and deleting the ones that are no longer active. I have added more tags to some of the others to hopefully make them easier to find with more search terms. The advantage for us is that we can get to our bookmarks from anywhere. I sometimes want to tell someone about a specific web site and can't always remember what it is. This way, I can also put tags on that will easier to remember why I liked it or what specifically I was looking for. I think if I use it more often, it will get easier.
