I think Wiki's would be great for a group of people who are trying to plan some type of event and they can't get together for a face to face meeting.
For libraries I think it would be good for all kinds of things. One of the wiki's I looked at was a library reading club. They kept track of what was read and people's reviews of the books.
I really like Wikipedia. I use it quite a bit. I also always tell people that for the most part the information is accurate, but if it's open for editing, it could be changed.
That's it for Wiki's!!

YouTube, etc.
On YouTube I found a clip from the Mid-Atlantic Library Conference. There were library staff talking about what the future of libraries could be. It was interesting.
I have had friends send me clips to watch and they are usually pretty good. One of my favorites was a college men's choir singing a Christmas song, it is absolutely wonderful. I would love to have seen these guys perform. Here is a link to the song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fe11OlMiz8.
I had a lot of fun with Hulu. I found the first two seasons of a tv show that I used to watch when it was originally on tv - Doogie Howser, MD. It was fun to watch them again. There were also quite a few tv shows at Fancast that I used to watch way back when. I think the way libraries could use these sights is to let patrons know about them if there are requests of tv shows that are not out on DVD yet. You can also get a cast list if they are looking for somebody in particular.
These were all fun sites to look around and see what they had.

MySpace
I set up a MySpace account and discovered three of my nieces and my nephew have accounts. So I sent them messages to have them add me to their friends list. I don't know how often I will check it. It seems it's just one more thing to do. I communicate with most of my friends and family by email or phone. I think myspace is more popular with younger people.
I added a picture that we had taken here at the library.
I haven't tried Facebook yet. I will at least look at it some time.
That's it for now, time to get back to work!
